Lancome 14 January to 20 January.
Yeap, still under promoting career. Before i brag about my job in Lancome KLCC, i want to talk about the REASONS why i chose promoting over so many other jobs that i know i qualify to.
Reasons
I'm 17, honey~ i wasn't interested in money [although i love them] i'm interested in experience. i went out with Stella the other day when i really realise, i made the right decision. =]
i care a lot of what i can learn, because its true! the income is so little, i get so tedious everyday, i get pimples all over! So, lucky me, i made it so useful cuz' i intended to take up Public Relations later. I find the necessity for me to learn the essence to approach people is essential. it's not something that can come rolling from a book. Experience comes with a price. Agree? Now are you proud being a promoter?
We learn the importance of being humble.
i consider myself green in this industry. So this time is the first time i worked with people i didn't know any of them. Worst is the moment i reached there, then i realise i've got to deal with make-ups and skin care, which i knew nothing about them..! luckily they were really nice people, they thought and helped me. i got things back in hand in 5hours later.
We talk about Lancome.
We have times where there's no customer, we talk bout somethings. It's the first day here, so what i did? i learn bout Lancome products. Our Counter Manager (CM) she brief me through the whole thing which, yeah~! thanks God i opened my bill. =]
We learn the importance of English.
As a promoter, selling an international brand, nothing is more than asset by having the ability to speak English. Well, the problem wasn't that WE can't speak, is the TOURISTS! i have a French Customer, then a Korean Customer. =.= we went speaking wrong languages to our colleagues in explaining things to the customer. It's a tough catch.
We talk about luck.
Sales for the day wasn't that good. But that doesn't mean we get slacken. We got to still push the sales. besides that, we talked about the percentage of a White having married to a Black. The kids will be siding the dominant Black. Only if its lucky, its White.
We learn the importance of courtesy.
Maybe its because i made sales or something. But i start smiling to people that is looking at our booth. What's even sweet, is the moment they respond to your smile. =]
We talk about Shoppers.
Sometimes, is not that we want to talk bad but..its too hard not too. There's a Chine tourist wearing a dress, with at cut at her saggy cleavage.. She didn't wear a bra! Come on, its saggy la. we cant resist laughing! Sorry..
We learn the importance of helping.
I was the only part time on the first day then another join in. So, since we're part time, i helped her out on sales and so she does for me. =] Thanks ya Angeline!
We talk about bones.
i didn't know how things come about until i heard them asking about the bones. They're talking about colir bones and something funny occurred.
People get aggressive sometimes. So well, it occurs all the time in sales industry. I've seen it many times too. People fight for commissions, fight for customers. Its scary when you turn around and saw a customer. Since you're the nearest, you wanted to approach then someone slide next to you and go, "Bonjour!" i startled when that happen. =.=
We talk about speeches.
Sometimes people speak words that can offend people whether intentionally or not. So its normal for people to get angry. =] Besides that, its funny to realise how they can speak up loud words i didn't expect to hear for long. Lol.
I was reminded of the essence in serving customers wholeheartedly, because they are human. they can feel if you didn't serve with heart. they will not purchase. We shouldn't think of sales when we serve. We're ought to be promoters.
We talk about attitude.
I'm about to break down cause i didn't make sales that day. Yes, i was reminded again that we should still be positive. It's the importance of service again.
when i was questioned, i answer and i answer honestly. Do i intend to grow my hair? Hell yeah. Nice day, cuz i get excited when i could ask questions to my colleague and he answered me hell so honest. =]
We talk about relationships.
i get jealous see how good he treat his partner. So sweet. Hell, i cant help it..! His partner is soo cute~ >.<

We sell products when we're promoters, we sell ourselves when we're interviewed.
